We visit the upper chamber of Temple Bar. It’s difficult to conceive in its dilapidated and graffitied state that this was once the room where Lady Meux is believed to have dined with the Prince of Wales, Edward VII and Winston Churchill. The scaffolding in the upper chamber supports a corrugated iron roof to replace the original wooden/lead one which was badly damaged during a fire in the seventies.
